Our story

Wuzhamn,

I’m Red, founder of Covert Capital. I’m not some marketing dude who studied “street culture” from YouTube and decided to cash in. I’m somebody who really lived the shit most brands just try to aestheticize.

I’ve done prison stints. I’ve battled addiction. I’ve been betrayed by people I would have crashed out for. I've heard bullets whistle past my head while fighting outside the strip club (Shout out to Babes show club in my hometown Pensacola, Florida. Me and the homies been in so much bullshit up there, we could never spend enough money to make up for it but they still always showed love in there. #RealPhatboyShit).I got more dead homies than alive ones, and half of the alive ones are locked up. I shoulda been dead myself at least 10 times and if the dead homies weren't up there pullin strings, I'd be locked up now. But I somehow ended up in Northern California instead, in the Mendo-Lake area mainly but I be down in the bay or in Sac from time to time to tappin in with homies I met while I was doin fed time or catching a 49ers game. I’ve seen the game give me a lot—but when you really add it up, it usually takes more than it gives. And that’s the part nobody puts on a T‑shirt. At the time of actually starting Covert Capital, I didn't have too much covert capital due to a series of unfortunate events. I wish I had done this while cash was plentiful. But since I'm still here, I'm givin ya some knowledge you can't get in college bloodraw.

I understand why people jump off the porch. When your stomach’s empty and bills are late, “right” and “wrong” feel different, morality becomes a lesson in relativity. But once you’re up, once you’ve stacked enough covert capital to have options, staying in the same cycle isn’t loyalty—it’s self-sabotage. You can’t do wrong on a grand scale forever and act surprised when you crap out.

That’s where Covert Capital comes in. This brand is for the ones who used the streets as a launchpad, not a life sentence. The ones who are flipping hustle money into Whatnot empires, barber chairs, sneaker flips, a business taking molds of people's mouths right in their crib and then sending it off Johnny Dang and then coming back to put the new teeth in without the custy ever having to drive all the way to Houston, or any legit play that lets them sleep in their own bed at night. I talk how I talk because I’m talking to you—self‑made entrepreneurs with street roots who are finally aiming past the streets.

I ain't watering it down for investors or potential collabs with brands who never lived that life. If my brand language makes someone uncomfortable who might prefer it not be so rough around the edges, it is what it is—they’re not my customer. Covert Capital is for people who hear me say “you lose your turn when you get locked up” and instantly know exactly what I mean.Covert Capital is me talking to my people the way we really talk, painting the whole picture—the jokes, the pain, the losses, the wins, the part where your “homeboys” are piping your girl and not sending you shit on your books while you’re sitting in a cell pretending that’s loyalty. Let me clarify though, I don't got no hard feelings about the shit, I been the one losing my turn 4 times now, well at least 3 cause I did do 1 bid where if my girl I had at the time was gettin her guts beat, I never heard about it. She made sure I ate good the whole time, helped me get cigarettes and weed in, sent me subs in the mail when I first got sentenced. She knows who she is. The rest of em know I definitely I ain't talking about them. All those ones are who you can blame if I ever smashed your girl while you were locked up. And I'm up a few turns. It is what it is, I ain't gonna sit up here and claim I don't play the game how it goes. Ain't nobody sparing me when I'm down. If you don't like it, get your lick back if I get locked up again loverboy. But don't hate on me if you ain't gonna be mad at her. It ain't my fault. If you're in love, don't go to jail. Enough about that though cause I’m not here to glorify the streets; I’m here to remind you that if you’ve got the brains to survive that world, you’ve got the brains to own something in this one.

I pair my Covert Capital pieces with Supreme, Corteiz, Evisu, G‑Star, Nike SB, Asaali, Triple Sevens Miami, ALOCS, Bape...—however you put it together as long as your life matches your fit. Just when you put my shit on, put that shit ON or don't put it on at all. Put your best foot forward rockin my shit. It ain't what's on ya, it's what's in ya.

Covert Capital is for the ones who are done being crash dummies. If you’re already on that path, welcome—you’re exactly who I built this for. If you’re still in the streets but starting to feel that voice in your head saying, “There’s got to be more than this,” you’re who I’m talking to too. Either way, when you put this on, I want it to feel like a reminder: you’re not stuck. You’ve got options now.

My mission is simple: to broaden your horizons so you stop thinking the block is the whole world. From the streets, to beyond means exactly that. Every drop, every design is about loyalty, authenticity, and growth. Loyalty to yourself and your evolution. Authenticity in how you tell your story. Growth from covert capital to legitimate power, assets, and a life your ol lady can actually be proud to stand next to. That's something they can't confiscate. The clothes are the uniform for the ones leveling up. Some of the pieces might seem out of context right now but they're laying the frame work for other parts of the story that get revealed later and bring the bigger picture into focus. This ain't no simple Cat In The Hat Dr. Seuss story I'm telling round. This is some Dark Tower series by Stephen King type shit yaheardme. Beliedat round!

From the streets, to beyond...
